ABOUT DR. Thompson
Dr. Thompson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in sports medicine. His area of expertise include surgical and non-operative treatments of the shoulder, hip and knee. Dr. Thompson’s training involves advanced techniques in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery, including arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, and total joint replacement for the hip and knee.
Dr. Thompson received his bachelor’s degree from Yale University in molecular biophysics and biochemistry, and completed his medical education at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. His surgical internship and residency in orthopedic surgery were completed at Columbia University Medical Center and continued his education by receiving fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine at Boston University School of Medicine.
